Bruce Sonnenfeld - Delivering Software Programming Solutions
A senior software developer at ByLight, Inc., Bruce Sonnenfeld has used J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition) to write code underpinning the Veterans Administration’s (VA) Loan Guaranty Program. Conversant in web and mobile application programming, Bruce Sonnenfeld has delivered documentation to enable platform setup in local environments. He also maintains and fixes systems and has taken on administration and troubleshooting responsibilities.
Bruce Sonnenfeld has a strong interest in emerging uses of new technologies, including quantum computing, DNA Memory, AI, and virtual reality. In a past position with 7Delta, Inc., as a senior Java developer, he authored code and built systems for the Veterans Benefit Management System-Rating (VBMS-R) platform. Bruce Sonnenfeld has also held responsibilities as a computer engineer with the Army and delivered simulations employing MetaVR and 3D Game Studio. He applied Java and C++ to writing server applications for the Defense Department.
From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Sonnenfeld served as an electrical engineer and computer scientist with the US Navy. He executed a key assignment, the Heterogeneous Distributed Supercomputing Project, which yielded a system capable of executing tasks on diverse computer networks, agnostic of where or how it ran. With dynamically changing machines in play and an aim of rapid computation, the algorithm considered factors such as machine speed, architecture, idle time, and network latency to find optimal ways to execute tasks.
